Ripa del ciliegio
A mature, warm, well-structured wine. It has an intense perfume. Smooth and rounded with a persistent aftertaste.
Spicy touches of black pepper. Leathery with hints of aromatic herbs that testify the lengthy aging in the wood (12 months) and in the bottle. Yet it is surprisingly fresh to the palate with clean, balanced tannins.
Buttafuoco, one of the principal DOC wines of the Oltrepò Pavese, is obtained from a blend of Croatina, Barbera, Uva Rara and Ughetta di Canneto grapes.
Thanks to its climate and aspect, this small area of the Oltrepò Pavese, that includes seven towns (Canneto Pavese, Castana, Montescano, Cigognola, Pietra de Giorgi, Broni e Stradella), is the ideal terrain for the quality production of this typical, prestigious and unmistakable wine.
